How You Found Me #1

When I receive an order, I email the customer with a thank you, estimated ship date, and ask how they found out about my shop.  Most of the time, it's a referral from a friend or family member.  Sometimes it's from an advertisement that I've done or a feature from a blog.  And occasionally I get interesting stories that can't be categorized.  I told you about these stories in my Year in Review post.  I'll be sharing those interesting stories in a series of "How You Found Me" posts.

When we go to vendor events (especially to Chicago Renegade), it's so amazing to witness the power of referrals, which I heavily depend for the success of my business --my livelihood.  We observe someone coming into the booth with no idea of who I am, my skills, or what I do.  All they see is a booth filled with hand made leather bags that they may or may not purchase.  It has happened so many times that when someone is showing some interest in a bag, someone else walks in wearing one of my bags that they purchased last year (and comes in to say hi and show off their bag!).  It's so crazy to see how that immediately makes a potential customer, into a Jenny N. customer.  It amazes me every time.  I'm so grateful for having the most amazing and loyal supporters.

Here's one reply I received from Kathy on how she found the Archive in Chestnut:

"[My daughter] saw a girl on the campus of the University of Colorado, Denver carrying one of your bags and asked about it.  The girl referred us to your website.  The Archive will carry my daughter through the last year of college and is of high enough quality for her to use in the first few years of her career as an accountant.  Very nice bag!"  - Kathy, CA

Thank you girl from University of Colorado, Denver campus for referring Kathy's daughter to Kathy to me.  :)

Love,
Jenny
