We started our last day in Disney at a magical breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table. With reservations an hour before the park opened, we were one of the first in the gates at a quarter to eight. It was an extraordinary feeling to be walking down main street without a swarm of people!
Months ago when we were booking our dining reservations, I was describing the options to Honey and discounted this one saying that, while it would have been a dream come true as a child, the littles would likely care very little about dining in the castle with the princesses of all princesses. To that, Honey said "Book it anyway. You'd love it. They'll hate it much more when we go back in a few years." Needless to say, he didn't have to say it twice. Through the entire meal, the PCP was so excited for me. He kept asking me if I loved being there and if I was happy to be meeting all of "my beauties." Cookie, on the other hand, was terrified of the princesses. He literally jumped into Goofy's seven foot tall arms on day one but hid behind chairs and tables to avoid getting too near the "beauties". This breakfast, and how special my three boys made it for me is just one of many, many reasons I love being the one and only princess in my household :-)
(Bless her heart, Belle's gown was pretty frumpy compared to her friends. Wonder why she didn't wear the yellow gown?)After a delectable and memorable meal, we spent the rest of the day in the park. Riding some of our favorites for the second (or third!) time.
Space Mountain
The Carousel
Meeting Mickey and Minnie
Pirate Training (anyone else think Jack Sparrow is super swoon-worthy?), Pirate Goofy, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and lunch at the Tortuga Cafe
And many many more!
We headed back to the Polynesian for one last swim and an hour's worth of trips down the volcano slide before packing up heading for home around five o'clock.
The littles were fast asleep, with their last day souvenirs clutched tightly in hand, approximately five minutes after pulling out of the grand gates.
It was the vacation of a lifetime and every bit as magical as we imagined. Now I absolutely cannot wait to go back! See ya real soon, Mickey Mouse!!
xoxo
