Mr. D and I share season tickets for the Packers with two other couples. I usually don't look at the schedule with too much enthusiasm until they meet and agree on who gets which games and Mr. D actually has the tickets in his hands. This year he scored tickets to the preseason game against the Colts. And long-time readers probably recall my particular fondness for Peyton Manning.
So what's the problem, Green Girl?
I'll tell you what's the problem! The night of the game is also our kids' open house night at school AND their karate graduation where their grand movie premiere is supposed to take place with a red carpet and all the hoopla surrounding such an event. Mr. G and Mr. B are dying to see the movie they starred in this summer and a mother's guilt flows stronger than tsunami waves across the ocean. The night is double-booked with both of these events. They could probably miss the open house, but the end of summer karate party with the movie premiere?
What's a Green Girl to do? Spill it, reader. Have you sacrificed awesome things for your kids' calendars or have you sacrificed your kids' stuff so you could do an awesome thing?
