even superheroes get the blues

Enviro Girl tried to put a little "punch" into her pathetic wardrobe last week. Whilst in Target filling her cart with sch**l supplies (shhhh! She's not allowed to speak of this until September at her house, but she's no fool either--she will NOT be stuck driving around town in search of a clear plastic protractor Labor Day Weekend just because everyone's sold out) Enviro Girl strolled through the women's department. She'd just tossed 12 t-shirts into her compost bin, coming to terms with their extreme rattiness and the fact that it's highly unlikely she'll need a dozen t-shirts for painting barns. She figured a few brand new t-shirts and maybe a new pair of shorts would spiff her up a little until Stacy and Clinton show up to give her a Major Makeover.

ANYWAY. The Target t-shirts? Are so flimsy and thin and poorly made that if they skimp ANY MORE on production costs? Enviro Girl may as well go topless. Sheesh. Each year the t-shirt fabric becomes less substantial--it's sheer! No wonder all the girls these days are layering their t-shirts--it's necessary for decent coverage!

What's a topless environmental superhero to do? Well THANK GOODNESS for the Eco Women, they've just opened shop. Enviro Girl can get this cute fitted organic cotton t-shirt printed with her eco-super-hero likeness (and Jen's and Marni's and Kim's and Kirstin's and Amy's) to wear when she schleps her kids to karate or escorts them to a local nature center to learn about animal scat. And she can feel really good about this t-shirt because it's well made and offers proper coverage while sending 100% of any profits to an eco charity. It's a great day when Enviro-Girl can save the planet AND save herself from further fashion faux pas at the same time.

But the BIGGEST bonus? YOU can enter the Eco Women GIVEAWAY this week and win yourself a cute tote bag with the Eco Women logo. Click on over and check it out!
