In which Green Girl Navel Gazes

Daylight savings time didn't really help me much this weekend--we woke up to a dreary, overcast day and then again this morning everything's all foggy. No daylight= a general slump in attitude and activity at our house. Add in too many miniature candy bars and not enough carrots and my sluggishness rivals Morgan Spurlock's at the end of Supersize Me. It's not pretty. I usually don't experience this snarl until December, so winter does not bode well.

I'm anxious for Wednesday--to wake up and know how things will go for the next few years. Like the rest of America, I'm feeling desperate for a sense of direction and (yes, I realize I risk offending the 25% still supporting the Current Occupant--who the heck are you folks, anyway?) strong, capable leadership. I'm also anxious to begin answering my phone again instead of letting the machine catch it and sift out the campaign callers. Our phone rang 6 times yesterday afternoon. Now the children have been trained to NOT answer it, but I'll have to debrief them and retrain them to start picking up on Wednesday. Small price to pay for this election.

There's only one place to head when I feel this way:
