Announcing another great giveaway, a $75 gift certificate for Wallpaper for Windows

I think today's $75.00 gift card giveaway features a pretty unique product - Wallpaper for Windows. I'm sure you have a window where privacy, too much direct light, or cold is an issue.  It doesn't even have to be a window - it can be a shower door, a skylight, or just a mirror that you may want to decorate.  I definitely had an apartment or two in NYC with a view, ie. brick wall, I would have liked to change.

Here are just a few ideas for very cool looks you could achieve with  Wallpaper for Windows:

I love the leaded glass look.  I would use the Wallpaper for Window's  "Monterey Sun Stained Glass"  film above to create a look like these below:

Wallpaper for Window's  "Allure Frosted" Privacy film could be used to create a look like the one in the eclectic bathroom below:

via Houzz

Or use the Wallpaper for Window's  "Atlantis" stained glass window film (above) to replicate this look:

via Apartment Therapy

You could even add an antique, one of a kind feel to cabinet fronts and glass furniture doors!

via Houzz

Sort of sheds a whole new light on window film, doesn't it?
More awesomeness about window film?  It's made in the USA, uses NO adhesives, but static cling instead.  It helps bring down energy costs by insulating your windows, and filters sunlight to help reduce furniture fading.

So, how do you enter for your chance to win a $75 gift certificate to Wallpaper for Windows?

Just leave a comment below or email me at ashley [at] decorologyblog [dot] com sharing how you would use window film in your home, or your favorite design. Make sure you leave your name and contact info!

Earn an extra entry by liking them on Facebook (optional). IMPORTANT: If you like them on facebook, leave a second comment letting me know.

The contest will close on February 15th at 12 AM EST.  I will announce the winner around 12 PM EST on Feb. 15th.

Glitter, a Promo and a GIVEAWAY!

Does it get any better than that?  Three of my favorite things wrapped in a bow.

First, the glitter!

When I created the memo board for the studio, I knew I wanted to add some family photos to it, since they make my grin ear to ear each day and it's important for me to be happy in my work zone.  And since I am into gold and glitter, I had a little plan to marry the two and spruce up the clothespins I would be hanging the photos from.

I pulled out my Silhouette...

And cut out a few different sized arrows to see which I liked best...

Once I had the size figured out, I cut more arrows out, this time, using their double sided adhesive paper.

The double sided adhesive paper has a allows your cut object to have a sticky front and back, so I stuck the one sticky side to the clothespin:

I kept the thicker paper on the top of the arrow to give it strength so it would not flop over once I added the gold glitter to it.

After I generously poured the glitter onto the arrow, I brushed it off and was left with a lovely sparkly arrow clip.

I repeated the process until I had enough to bring down to the studio for the memo board.

Then I just strung some twine between two pushpins, picked some of my favorite instagram shots and clipped them up!

They are the perfect happy addition to the studio!

Second, the promotion!

It's been awhile since we have had a rockin' Silhouette promotion around here!  But, they are back just in time to give you some LOVE for Valentine's day!

Just go here to take advantage of their discount on the Silhouette Portrait and Double Sided Adhesive Starter Kit Bundle, or if you already have a Silhouette, you can get the Double Sided Adhesive Starter Kit on discount!  Just enter ORGANIZING at checkout.

Third, the GIVEAWAY!  Today, I am giving away a Silhouette Portrait Bundle to a lucky IHeart Organizing reader!  I like to think of it as a great way to celebrate all of your hard work during home office month!

Seriously the best and easiest way to frame your art! And a giveaway!

CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED!

For some reason, unless you have a bottomless bank account, framing is such a HASSLE. Hence why I still have so many prints still rolled up in tubes under my bed. Framing my art always ends up costing more than the art itself, and then if you try to buy the frame unassembled matting and backing and hanging makes you realize that maybe it's worth the money to have a professional do it!

However - I was just introduced to Change of Art - and wow am I impressed.  The frame is probably the nicest one in my home, it's eco-friendly, and made in the USA!

Here's the rundown: "Our EasyGallery® frames eliminate all the usual hassles of matting, framing and hanging. Prints slide in & out – no taping, no taking the frame apart, no fussing with the glass. And you can store a dozen (+) prints in back. Best of all, everything's changeable – in seconds!"
- Change of Art

Check out how easy it was for me to finally frame and hang a few tiny prints I had bought in Alaska back in 2012 when I ran a marathon.

Slip the art in the slot in the back of the frame.

Put other prints for display later in the pocket behind the frame.

Use the GENIUS template and easy-peasy button and nail to plan the placement of the frame and tap in the nail.

Align the divot in the frame with the top of the button...

TADA! How amazing is that!

I felt so accomplished afterwards and barely did any work!

Now, lucky for you guys, the awesome folks at Change of Art are offering one lucky reader a trio of Change of Art frames!

If you want to enter for a chance to win, leave a comment below (or email me) telling me what for or how you would use this genius product.

The winner will get to choose from white, black, or brown medium-sized frames, and will be announced by random-draw on Wednesday, Feb. 6th.

Good luck!

IHeart: Organizing, Messy Kids & a GIVEAWAY!

I recently read an e-Book that I just had to share and had to giveaway this week!

My friend, Steph, the genius behind Modern Parents Messy Kids, has written an e-book!  Project Organize Your Entire Life: The Quick Start Guide offers step-by-step action plans for conquering some of the biggest obstacles to living the simplified life: decluttering, cleaning, organizing, meal planning and more!

You will find customizable strategies for it all since one size does not fit all.  The quick start guide provides resources for a variety of lifestyles, schedules and personalities.

No unattainable goals, only real-life expectations.  If there is one thing we've learned, it's that simplifying and organizing is a journey, not a destination.  Steph has set up a quick start guide accordingly.  By offering lots of different strategies for tackling a problem, she is arming you with the tools you need to be successful when life changes on you!

What I love most is that the book is real.  It's written by a real mom with messy kids.  It's simple to follow, motivating, inspiring and doesn't put organizing on a giant pedestal.  It is about giving you the ideas and tools you need to pick your priorities, organize what matters and live a less stressful life.  It's also about getting everyone in the family involved, and keeping it simple for them too!

My sweet, sweet friend is here today to offer five lucky IHeart Organizing readers, a copy of her eBook, Project Organize Your Entire Life: The Quick Start Guide!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

From now through January 29th, 2013, you can receive the Project Organize Your Entire Life: The Quick Start Guide for 15% off using the code: iheart.

Good luck everyone!
