Some eye candy that is guaranteed to brighten up your Monday...

Friday I flew back to the states from Spain and it is good to be back. I forgot how green everything can be in Maryland this time of year, and it's absolutely beautiful (and allergy inducing).

Regardless I still spent most of this weekend outside, just soaking in all the spring growth and chirping birds. I think these pics embody the season and the desire to be outside -

could easily spend all day reading in this little nook

I would be happy in this little cottage...hopefully there is a sandy beach right behind it...

so pretty!  I love paths and lanes lined with trees

BEAUTIFUL spring outdoor spaces and exteriors

I NEED sunshine and warm weather NOW. I cannot take the cold or dreariness anymore. I love that smell when it is first getting warm and you open your windows. Hopefully it comes soon. In the meantime - I'll just imagine I'm here:

My favorite place on earth - the beach

Such a great way to spend an evening - reading out on this porch

I like when outdoor elements are made of organic, raw materials like this canopy made of branches

You can smell spring coming in these photos!

These gorgeous shots are the genius of photographer Debi Treloar. They remind me of hot summers growing up on the Chesapeake Bay. There was a time of day that was so still one couldn't do anything but nap in a shady spot or read in a corner by an open window. I can smell the warm air and almost hear the flower buds opening. *sigh* I need a country garden!

I would have spent so many days in this room reading Anne of Green Gables.

It's hard to imagine days so hot you didn't even want to turn on the lights, but that's what this image reminds me of.
