Kelly Wearstler Rhapsody Book Event NYC

We attended the Kelly Wearstler 'Rhapsody' book party hosted by The Rug Company.  Even though I didn't get to participate in Fashion Week, (due to other things I'm working on) this was a great way to kick off the festivities going on throughout the city!  

Rhapsody is Kelly's fourth book which offers a look into her glamorous life and work. She's by far the BEST designer, truly innovative in every way. Her background is interesting if you ever read about her - but that didn't stop her, she's a RockStar. Truly inspirational.

Here is Kelly standing in front of the Serpent rug, my favorite from her line. This rug is gorgeous in person!

What did I say?? AMAZING rug. It's like a piece of art.

Peek into Jonathan Adler's NYC Office

Hope you all had a great 4th!! Mine was a blast, even though we didn't see fireworks...

Anyhow, last week I was invited to the Jonathan Adler's office here in NYC & finally met the man himself. I remember how much of an inspiration he was for me when I first started my business....  I've always been attracted to his design aesthetic & even have his Meurice lamp in my apartment, it's even lovelier in person by the way! The place was huge - with an entire showroom & all employees were allowed to bring their little doggies to work, how cute!


On another note, Jonathan recently finished a collaboration with Pepsi on these cute red, white & blue biodegradable straws... you can actually see them in this post! They ended up giving me a pack, which I used for my 4th of July dinner party. I'll post those pics soon too!

Traditional Home Party in NYC

Last Night I attended the Traditional Home party at the New York Design center. 

Mingling here & there, which I'm not very good at by the way....I came across many beautiful furnishings! I photographed several for all of you to see! So much eye-candy, I wanted to take it all home! Too bad I don't have anymore space! They served up several interesting cocktails but I loved the cucumber mojitos (with cucumber pulp) they were so tasty.... & I don't even drink! 
 

While at the party I met up with Naomi of Design Manifest, Ashlina of The Decorista, Crystal editor of Rue Magazine & finally met Michelle Adams editor of Lonny Magazine, which I accidentally called Michelle Williams on Twitter! Ugh, I'm so crazy, sorry! Perhaps it was the loud Indian music blasting in the cab (as I left the event) ...my head was SERIOUSLY spinning!!

Bravo TV Event & More...

This past Sunday I attended a pre-screening event by BravoTV.  It's for a new show called, Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis! Some of you may remember Jeff, he's a talented house flipper who starred in Flipping Out, also on Bravo! The pre-screening for the new show was hilarious & even though I didn't see the famous Zoila, Jeff didn't disappoint with his humor!

Bravo invited a few bloggers to come out - including myself! They picked each of us up in a decked out NYC Taxi cab. There were 10 taxi cabs & each decorated to impress. I ended up with a beautiful Moroccan-styled one, but there were others like the 60's Mod, Glam, Ski Lodge & more! We had brunch together & I drank plenty of Harney & Sons Chamomile tea, (one of my fave tea brands).

My morning started with a little breakfast made by the husband.

......then the Bravo TV taxi showed up!

Wow, I was shocked when I looked inside!

Floor to ceiling decor...My fave part was def the ceiling.

The floor was just as cute, who would have thought!?!

Did I mention these cab rides were offering FREE RIDES to New Yorkers all day!?!??

In the whole Jeff Lewis spirit, I also got a chance to provide some interior therapy to my sister's little home office! My sister who is based in Colorado & runs a pet sitting company & blog, decided she needed an office makeover. So, we converted her existing closet-office into a much happier space.


I thought I would help her makeover her office with some items Bravo TV sent her way! It's amazing how just a FEW accessories can help transform a space &  make you feel more motivated & inspired!

Adding flowers & a vase instantly livens up the space! We also decided to paint the inside of the closet, one shade lighter. Adding a white chair definitely makes the space brighter!
